God is in Control

Gen 39:1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt The enemy planned the death of Joseph, God used it as a provision for Israel.

Joseph was also a type of Christ. The enemy cried “crucify Him”, God used it as a means of salvation.

There is a beautiful scripture in the Bible which I like to pray:

Luk 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luk 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Whenever I feel that I am under attack, I pray this verse. First of all, Jesus made sure that His disciples know that satan is cast out!! He lost his former place.

Secondly, Jesus gives us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions, devils and demons and over all the power of the enemy. Still, this is not what we should rejoice in, but that our names are written in the Book of Life.

Satan planned Joseph’s destruction, God planned Israel’s provision. What the enemy meant for evil, God turns around for good.

Psa 109:28 Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
