Genesis.
God use the Negative as a Positive
By Venessa Holtzhausen
Gen 46:34 Then ye shall say, Thy slaves’ trade has been about livestock from our youth even until now, both we and also our fathers, that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every pastor of sheep is an abomination unto the Egyptians.
Shepherds were an abomination to the Egyptians. Heb “is an abomination.” The Hebrew word ה ָבֵועֹתּ)toʿevah, “abomination”) describes something that is loathsome or off-limits. Little did they know, these idol worshippers, that their detest of the sons of Israel’s occupation, will be
used to Israel’s advantage.
Goshen was a very good, fertile land. Also it will be light in Goshen, while the Egyptians were plagued with darknes. Goshen will become a safe-haven for Israel, while God deals with Egypt. Little did the Egyptians know what God was up to…
Exodus is a very good book to read if you want to know how God is going to deal in the end times with the worldly and the godly people.
Like in Goshen, the children of Israel was kept safe, God will once again judge the earth, but His children will be kept safe.
